UFicle: uploading, continued by purplepineapple 2008-02-09 16:30:02
Further to this but here's a quick summary of my problem:

I have ADSL2+ activated on my line. I am using a 4 port Speedtouch Pro, no other hardware between the computers and the line. I can browse fine.

Primary PC is Ubuntu, secondary is Win2k.

I can not upload files to the net with either computer, using either FTP or a web utility such as at flickr.com.

I have also just figured out that I can't make long posts to sites such as UF or LJ. I get a time out error from the site.

speedtest.net fails completely on both machines when it reaches the upload test.

Help?

Not sure on what programs may mess with iptables, by bwkaz2008-02-09 17:47:22
But you'd sure waste a lot of time making packets! by Myke2008-02-09 19:13:06

Sounds like MTU discovery problems. by Myke2008-02-09 17:33:00
Those would be modem settings? by purplepineapple2008-02-09 18:00:58
The modem may (or may not) be filtering ICMP. by bwkaz2008-02-09 18:19:29
