saying have the family contact the Red Cross and then he 'might', depending on the situation, be able to let you go. If the family does not contact the Red Cross then the CO has no recourse for family leave. Checked with my ex-Navy spouse and he said thats how it works. :\ That being said my prayers are with you and your family.
