As far as the hospice not contacting her, the Patient Privacy Laws enacted in Bush's first term can be interpreted that way. I've seen hospitals sued by patients when the Hospital divulged such info to relatives and spouses while they were under. They probably don't think he'll make it and don't want to tell her till they know for sure. I personally think its a load of carp and you have my full understanding and support.
