Say, about 2-3km away from the city centre, that'll be easily cyclable. An old city, if possible. The tower should be higher than the street lanterns and the roofs, so I can have a view of the night sky without the lanterns hurting my eyes.
Free-standing, so no worrying about what the neighbours will here. But standing next to the road --- I like to be social. I'd like the style to be Art Déco: Like this, though perhaps a bit less tall. (Amsterdamse School would be nice, too.) Perhaps I'll have to give up the free-standingness for that: these are urban styles. But I still want my tower. |
