Summon: Electrical/electronics UFical by Hieraco 2008-02-09 02:45:48
How do I tell if I have "Sensitive equipment"? (Friday jokes aside)

I can get a 230VAC-115VAC transformer for some of my electronics that I brought from Canada, but the transformer does not say if it converts the frequency as well. This item here. it just says that it converts to American/Japan standards. Japan has both 50Hz and 60Hz lines.
I know my portable radio and small power adapters convert to DC so the line frequency is not important, but what about things like my printer(s) and stereo components (Tuner, DVD/VCR etc?) Any suggestions?
