By this point, I would have expected a *lot* more dual-format players. That they don't exist says one format is more likely to die.

I think that the forced change to DTV in Feb 2009 will push people to change their TVs out. As they do this, it's possible they'll also upgrade their player to HD. Since dual-format players aren't readily available (that I've noticed), then they'll pick a side. Right now, it seems like most studios are in the BD camp.
