How do you handle mutal friends..after a divorce? by Garrinka 2008-01-20 09:10:11
I didn't want to say "handle" but I wanted it to fit in the tlp..

my ex and I played Wow.. after the divorce I kept in touch with some of our guildmates.. who we met through my husband's old unit..

the unit had been disbanded and several peeps had moved to new units.. including my ex.. (who no longer played the game)

anyways.. I kept pretty much in touch with 3 of my old guildies.. who my ex knew as well..

they helped me to keep sane during the first stages of the divorce.. shoulders to cry on so to speak and I helped them and cheered them along..

know I know with the fact that they are in Iraq and the don't get a chance to play much.. but I *know* a couple have been on.. due to the time difference we don't talk much anymore.. but I did send them some in game gifts..

to say thank you for the help they gave me and wish them a merry x-mas..

Well today I got *all 3* packages back .. they let them sit in the mailbox and the game autosended them back..

This wouldn't of hurt so much but I've seen them on the game so there should've been *no reason* not to open their mail..

now this was just a simple in game gift.. nothing attached just a thank you..

they only reason I can think of is maybe they don't want to have a conflict of interest with my ex who is over there now as well..

I don't know if they have any contact with him or not..

I just don't know how to take this..

I just tried talking to one of the guys.. and he just logged out.. could've been a internet issue or he just had to go... I don't know..

It just well it just hurts.. I've known these guys for over 3 years... since Afghanistan...

we had a good guild and some good times together.. I just don't know if its a conflict of interest or what.. since they are out there together now..

It seems silly but it just *hurts*... was one of my few connections to my "old" life.. I just feel kinda dead inside..

its not like they where excepting stuff in the real world.

sorry .. I guess I am just trying to process another loss..

I am probably just overreacting.. I guess this is just another stage of mourning my "old" life.. brought to a head..

thanks for listening *hugs*...
