Good LORD this cold is effecting my brain! That first one is already in my links. Yes, I checked with NOAA; I don't like their website... it took me an hour once to find the latest data on Guam's weather... way too complicated, IMHO. Coast Guard should've been my first destination. My G'pa was with them for forty years and I know most of the people he knew in the nearby harbors.

I'm gonna take a 30'-50' sailboat single handed from Washington to Guam. The most difficult legs of the trip - navigationaly anyway - will be the N.A. -> HI (20 to 50 days) and HI -> Martial Islands (10 to 30 days).

I'm not sure how much help I'll need, I depends on how much of my G'pa's course I get through in the mean time and how much practice my AK fishing Skipper can give me. My G' pa used to teach a two year course on everything Seamanship. His class was two days a week, 3-6 hours a day. According to him, I already inherited about half of his course by sheer osmosis alone from him and my dad, who was also a sailor.
