Tea "brewing" time? by Phoon 2008-01-17 12:45:46
I have a box of Lipton "Cold Brew" tea bags. The directions specify that for two quarts of tea, one should use two tea bags and let it brew for three minutes. My assumption was that for a single quart, a single tea bag and three minutes would be appropriate.

However, it's been eight minutes and it's just now reaching "tea" status. It'll probably be at least five more before it's dark enough for me.

Is it normal for a reduced amount of tea leaves to take longer to brew, even when using reduced water?
