They claimed free speech, and the judge overturned it, because they violated someone elses free speech rights. And as they were protesting on non-public property, or at least limited access property (ie they were where they shouldn't have been for this), their free speech rights were NOT infringed. It would be akin to going into someones property and protesting there, then claiming free speech when sued.
