python for GUI and as a prototyping language.. That is, if I want something quick and dirty I do it in python. This is mainly due to me thinking that python handles OO prettier than Perl :)

However, if that something quick and dirty involves a lot of text and/or pattern matching I prefer doing it in Perl.

I'll see if I can write something more detailed later, if you really want to.. However, don't bet on it :)
