The following is an actual call I had at work. I work for a company that does AT&Ts new start and disconnect orders for frame relay service, Customers think of us as AT&T, so we answer that way.
me - "Thank you for calling AT&T, this is Apryl. How can I help you?"
them - "What did you say?"
me - "Thank you for calling AT&T, this is Apryl. How can I help you?"
them - "AT&T?"
me - "Yes"
them - "This isn't *mumble mumble*"
me - "What was that sir? couldn't hear you"
them - "(can't remember exact name) phone sex hotline?"
me - "no, it sure isn't"
them - "Oh. So, are your calls moonitered?"
me - "Um, sometimes."
them - "Oh. Well, nevermind. But you have a really nice voice."
me - "Thanks. I think. Bye now."
