A coworker ordered a computer from $laptop_maker. The company built his machine, took his money, and shipped it. The laptop got lost in shipping (where "lost" probably means "stolen by driver"). It took him over a month of arguing before the $laptop_maker would do anything, and that was just to offer to make him another laptop. He didn't want that, he just wanted his money back. He had to file with his credit card company to get that done...still doesn't have a laptop.
