When I was little, we lived way out in the country and I DID like that better- because the neighbors were interested in each other and helped each other out. Even so, there can be a dark side to rural living- a lot of drug dealers and meth-heads hide out in the rural areas outside this city.

Yet while my city doesn't have the greatest of crime rates, there are a few working class neighborhoods that are still relatively safe- NO ONE messes with the old Slavic or Belgian immigrants. There is good, and bad, to humanity. The trouble is that a few bad people spoil it for many good people. Because of that it's downright stupid to pretend the bad people don't exist, and refuse to take measures against them.
