All my neighbours are pretty much like my wife and I. They go to work, they come home, they mow the grass in the summer, they clear the snow in the winter.

There are better cars than mine around. There are larger houses. There is nobody bragging about 'cheating the system' and receiving welfare. Some may do this - I don't know, they don't brag about it. And I don't worry because I have what I need.

When I park my car I leave the keys in the ignition. It's more convenient that way. I don't even know where my house keys are - we never lock the doors. Things are not quite that good in Edmonton - where I work. But other than a few small areas that I don't hang around in, it isn't bad - it's very rare that I hear from any of my friends and co-workers that they had their car stolen, or their house broken into.

Maybe I do live in a different world. Maybe you should demand a government that will work towards improving your world.
