Ok, last night this ladies boyfriend beat the hell out of another one of the guests here at the motel so she decided to move out and go back to where she came from. Before she made this decision she decided to tell the cops that she didn't know where her boyfriend ran off to after the assault, but it turned out he was hiding in the room. So in the end, we have to replace a door(she tried to stop the cops from entering the room) a small kitchen table, and 2 chairs (he resisted arrest). As she was moving out today, she actually had the gall to ask if she could get a refund on the unused rent and the damage deposit back. Despite the no refund policy we have made exceptions in the past. When we do that, we switch the charge from weekly to nightly and give them the difference. In this case she wanted the refund back at the weekly rate. If we did that, she would have had about $120 in her pocket. If we went with the nightly rate, she would have owed us $30. Toss in $300 for a new door+installation, $250 for the tables and chairs and then it turns out she still owes us a good chunk of money. With all these factors, she considers us the (insert really really nasty name here). My response to her was "huh"?
