If you make it "bad" for a 12 to 18 year old by Classic_Jon 2008-01-15 10:17:35
to have or use...what is the *first* theing they will do? They will want to find out WHY they can't have it and what is so bad about it that they can't have it. Just like Alcohol, drugs and naked pictures.

If you educate them instead of saying "NO" then they will know the WHY that they should not play with them, and THAT is my point.

They do not have to EVER fire a gun, but they SHOULD KNOW how to safely handle one and to be able to say "That is a gun, I am leaving becaue you are not handling it correctly!"
What the basic rules are there for is that and in case they say... have a friend that brings one over and points it at them and goes "click click click click BLAM!!" **You can NOT take a bullet back once it has been fired.**
