We have a lot of "Windows Servers" running here. But 90% of them don't run directly on the hardware, but as VM on a Linux system.

An interesting question, but almost impossible to get answered, would be how many actuall cpu cycles are processed by the different OSes around the world.

But then of course Windows might still need double the CPU cycles to get the same job done. ;-)
