invokes Uficle by LilDragon2008-01-15 01:18:32
90% of the world does not use windows.. by karl-henrik 2008-01-15 01:53:39
I don't think 90% of the world have access to a computer.. Some links are

linux marketshare
web server poll

Then again how many that use Linux has nothing to do with
opensource at all really.. visit Free software foundation
for more arguments. Free software give me as a user the ability
to see what they plan to install on my computer I can modify
it if I choose to or debug it if it has errors.. I can't do that with
proprietary software.

Also if you take into calculation that you have different
interests, views, skills etc it's very clear that you will never
have a single source of computer use, claiming that opensource
is bad just because it does not have many users (yet) is like
claiming we don't have stupid users who only care about
playing computer games... she is actually just
making a dumb statement if you ask me.. if she would have thought
that question over and rather tried to make up a good argument,
it would not have been that question.. infact she is probably
not even going to change her opinion even if you show her that
millions are using opensource successfully if she's like most people
that make similar statements..

Good luck //Karl.
