he is supporting the dodgy conclusions and theories.

Rather he is putting forward a way the such a subject
could fufill such criteria.

A critical mind is not a closed mind.
A real problem I have with "creation science" is that is not
enough self critique.

I have seen this in other "hard" science labs as well.

We want something to be true so we nudge the results a little
most of the time it's sub conscious.

I personally am very interested in the theories that do
come out of this field of thought, though i am usually
disappointed in their lack of quality.

Orthodoxy must always be challenged.

After all Einstien thought quantom phyiscs was a load of
quackery.

Kelvin pronounced the earth was at most 40 million years old.
and it goes on.

Great minds sometimes make great mistakes and bowing
before those mistakes does no one any good.
