About Mom and hints by thread_killer 2007-12-26 08:28:26
Though I have no doubt that Mom wants me to visit, that's not what this is.

The B&N card rotates every year who I get it from. Either my Mom, my sister, or my Grandfather. This year it came from my Grandfather, and --here's the kicker-- there isn't a Barnes & Noble where he lives either. He had to order the gift card, (and I know that he did because when I opened the envelope he sent me, inside was the envelope B&N sent him with the gift card in it) meaning my Mom told him that's what he needed to get me.

It wasn't six weeks ago my Mom said "I can never remember, do you have Borders or Barnes & Noble where you are at?"

I told her Borders, and even mentioned that every year I get a B&N gift card and sure would like Borders instead. WTF? This is, however, the same lady who when asking me which airport she should fly into on the day before the 4th of July weekend started I said "Dulles. DO NOT fly into National that day because we will sit on I-95 for hours. Make sure you book your tickets to come into and out of Dulles." Where did she fly into? National. How long did it take to get home? Like five hours. The whole time listening to her tell me she was sure that I had said National.
