As for your list, I too Did the same thing this year with a list and I got exactly two things on the list. Everyone says I am hard to buy for so, I made the list to help.... I think I am going to try again next year but I am going to send it out earlier and with the words "Help Santa find Me the gifts I need" and see what happens. I have found that for some reason the word "help" makes a huge difference in things because of human nature. You might also try dressing up the list with <blink> tags and various cute christmas pictures so people can't miss it :) Sorry to hear it but you also need to take into accoutn that many people lose 50 IQ points around christmas and just do what is easiest for them to get their "list" of gifts done as easy as possible.
