Alternatively, there was a game I used to play on my old bBBC micro, whose name I forget, basically, you were a spaceship, guarding the exit to a funnel, the idea was, you slid either way around the edge of the funnel, shooting the things that were crawling up the inside. at the end of each level you zoomed down the funnel into the next area.
