I remember reading a couple things that were iffy. Like attaching *one* magnet, or cutting *one* slot 180 degrees side. These will unbalance your motor. Whatever you do for the counting apparatus, make sure it counts (at a minimum) 1/2 turns, then multiply the result accordingly. (for example, use slots from 0-90 and 180-270 degrees, or 2 magnets, 180 degrees apart). Creating imbalance in any rotating assembly is bad for bearing life.
