The predictions for increased frequency of serious hurricanes were not generated by the climate models. Global warming alarmists made the predictions based on the unusual number the year before. No reputable scientist is going to extrapolate from a trend consisting of one data point.

This is an example of the mindless activism to which I referred in the above post. These people only end up making the public skeptical about statements by climatologists who actually do know something. They do more harm than good and should just shut up.
