to having their pictures taken, at least for official identification purposes. It's only a few of the ultra-orthodox colonies that take issue with photographs. Young people from some of the more liberal colonies have been known to engage in some truly shocking behaviour, such as going out in public with their hats/kerchiefs off, wearing non-standard clothing, and gasp taking pictures.
