Just got back to my hotel after dinner, and it is genuinely hard to express how good that dinner was.
I went to a place called Le Relais de l'Entrecôte, serving the classic Parisian steak and frites, with a wonderful sauce that defies any attempts of mine to guess its ingredients. All washed down by a worthy Gaillacois red and followed by the best profiteroles I have ever tasted.
All in all, one of the best gastronomic experiences of my life. I'll confess a weakness for steak frites (it would be my last meal), but that was simply stunning.
