Those "profit margins" you're talking about represent the greater part of the economic mechanisms that make the world run. To accomplish the things that many folks would like to see, we'd be affecting a heck of a lot more than profit margins. If it were as simple as telling big business to take it on the chin for a couple percentage points, I'd be right there with ya. But when it comes to making wholesale changes that risk rearranging global economies, well I'd want to be cautious about it. I guess that "caution" is my watchword on this issue. I want us to be able to do what needs to be done, but whatever solutions we try, I want us to use caution in applying it.
