trying to figure out why our 10 yr old app for sending text pages out to the folks in the field started failing to send to nextel phones. Seems that Sprint bought Nextel, and just recently (within 6 mo or so) changed the text-page service to use sprint's servers instead of nextel's. After 2 days of TS, I tried using the sprint server on a whim. And it worked. Dead simple fix. Of course, I also suggested that they drop the old old app and just use outlook to send an email to the pager groups. Wow, you would think I suggested they cut off all their hair and paint themselves blue. Ah well.
