I ended up buying a Red Lion Cub 3L counter, (.pdf warning) but have yet to figure out exactly which kind of hall effect sensor to attach to it. Actually, this is the last great hurdle. Building the machine which will do the rotating and count the rotations accurately. The rest is fairly easy. If I wasn't so stubborn and would just go and buy a couple of pre-made parts, I could probably be done by Monday. Nooooo though. I want to make the parts, and that means I have to first fabricate a machine that will do it. That's half the fun though, right? |
