if it is equal to risk (chance * consequence) that is true, but in some opinions it is closer to being just the chance, in which case the two would possibly be comparatibly alike.

But, The main issue (TM), is any of this not common knowlege? You go to site climing to be legit and it fscks you. If (a) you are not patched for it or (b) no patch has been made (usually the case with IE =( ) it fscks you very much. This was true in 1998. It is true today. It probably was true before that too, but I was just a kid and we only had dial-up.
