#2, however is. Every so often (it's random -- but much more frequent than trice a year) I can't access my site at all -- everything (including the control panel) is a big fat 404 error.
Making things interesting is that the host's own site is ALSO one big 404 error; that has me concerned. I'm waiting for it to 404 again. When it does, I have a service bookmarked that will attempt to ping the site from a US-based location, a Germany-based location, and an Australia-based location. If the problem is *just* my ISP's DNS buggering up, they should be able to access the site. If none of them can reach it, I won't look back.
I have two other offers for hosting with identical or better specs, so I'm ready to jump ship when the time comes. |
