Sys Admin Education by MadnessASAP2007-11-29 06:51:49
I would ask the college what they think they mean. by classic_jon2007-11-29 07:37:52
    I concur, mostly... by mpicklesimer1 2007-11-29 08:08:00
Network Admin, Windows Admin and Linux/Unix Admin are fairly obvious in my opinion. From where I sit, a Systems Admin does a bit of each, and tends to be very good at all of them, but may not be an absolute, end-all be-all expert at any/more than one of them. However a Network Admin should be an expert at all things related to network hardware/configuration/etc, a Windows Admin should know all versions of Windows inside-out and upside-down, and a Linux/Unix Admin should know their stuff just as well, if not better. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
