I had an SC as well... by Sterling_Ag 2007-11-29 08:03:14
I had two deer hits in that car.

First one I clipped at about 20. If it had been day time my car would have likely been undamaged, I took the back legs out from under the deer and it damaged the hinge on the driver's side flip up headlight. Total damage $300

A few weeks later had a deer ram into the driver's side fender. The fender disintegrated, the rear end of the dear slammed into the driver side door, putting a hairline crack in it and ripping a bunch of fur out of the deer. (My car door looked like it had hair growing out of it.) That was about $800 of damage.

If you hit the deer hard enough to crumple the hood, $2000 in damage isn't that bad, and metal fenders and doors would likely have been dented at least.
