I may or may not agree with his decisions (or anybody else's), but I respect their right to make them. I think you're right that relatively few people have actions that support what they say are their beliefs, though they're usually pretty good at telling everybody else how they should be living. As to whether or not he made the "right" decision in the view of his God, I have no doubt that he and his God will be capable of sorting that out between themselves.
