Deja vu!!! by taitano 2007-11-29 02:47:12
Back when I was still a hacker, My sister and I came up with a similar idea.

A virtual community where your website was a store and a webhost or site owner could actually see their customer's avatar as they shopped. Our virtual community was going to double as a game; think Morrowind where the items in the shops were real items that would then be shipped to you and IM typing consoles were 3d representations of text computer terminals.

This was the last part to be realized. The 3d virtual community was realized about two years after we came up with the idea; which probably means that they'd been working on it for several years before we thought of it. I wonder how many others thought of it.
