I have tremendous respect for his decision, although I do not agree with his views in this situation. Still, I wish more would have the strength (including me) do deal with life as he did. I cannot even begin to describe how this moved me and how much it strengthened my faith.

Doing what you feel is right even though death is the ultimate consequence is not even that exceptional. Doing so while everyone around you disagrees with you takes a lot more guts, and is something to be jealous of. Even though he might have been (emphasize: might have been) wrong in interpreting the Bible on this account, he showed a lot more faith than most who do know every jot and tittle from the scriptures. And faith, ultimately, is what we are judged for.

Gods strength to you and everyone involved. I'll pray for Dennis and his family.
