The IT Director at the first place I worked used to be the ones buying the rounds, almost every Friday like clockwork....
and often on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday...
Unfortunately every other place I worked, we used to all buy rounds... But still it was pub every Friday lunch, and usually on a Wednesday....
And when I've been IT Director, I brought the beer at the pubs! lubricates the brain cells, Friday after pub is when you fix all the tricky problems you've spent a week scratching your head over... Monday is when you try to remember how you did it so you can document it...
