The Spell Key hovered silently above Hewitt's neck. Small, nearly invisible sparks flashing between the DSL and the Microsoft key as the DSL interacted with the Digital. After a few seconds, Hewitt's eyes opened and darted about nervously as the new key registered it's surroundings. His mouth opened to speak, but all that came out was a chirping sound.
"Hewitt? Can you hear me?" Asked John Andrews. Hewitt chirped a response. After a few minutes of tweaking, John asked again "Hewitt! Can you hear me?"
"Yes. I hear you."
"I need you to access the Hard Drive. Your Mistress needs that presentation."
"Can you fix him?" The woman asked.
"Yes we can. But, let's get that document; in case something goes wrong."
"Wrong?"
"We may have to remove and reinstall the Microsoft key."
"It's called... It's... It's called Windows 95; First Release. The Vendor passed it off as a status symbol be the first in my cubicle block to have the absolute newest Microsoft Key."
"Your document has bee recovered, sir." Hewitt said to John. "Will there be anything else sir?"
"Hang on." Then, turning to the woman, John asked "Is there anything else you want?"
"No." She said. "I've only had the key for about two weeks. Besides, I backed up just yesterday."
"Good for you. Ok, Hewett, let's reinstall this key."

About three hours later the key was installed, the woman was on her way with her Digital, and the group was on their way back to Aibee Em. The topic of the missing Great Wizards came up again.
"They were there when the battle started, weren't they?" Angie said as she pulled some jerky from her satchel. "I wonder what happened. I didn't see any of their bodies among the dead."
"Let's get back to town and find out." Ari said. "I get the feeling that something's really wrong here."
"I agree." Said Linus. "I don't think that is either normal or a coincidence." He said as he pointed toward a series of columns of black smoke.
"I've been watching that since I first left the workshop." Angie said.
"So have we." Said John. "I don't know about you guys, but, between this silence, that woman and that smoke, I think we're being lured into something; I don't think that the battle is over."
"Not by a long shot." Said Ari.
