Anything with a remote control is drawing power when it's off. (in some cases a lot more than you'd imagine) Anything with a wall wart (a.k.a. transformer) is drawing power when plugged in (even if the device is off) Items like toasters, blenders, lamps or anything with a hard on/off state do not.
