Splitting Microsoft by Snate 2007-10-22 14:16:43
The EU ruling post below got me thinking about splitting Microsoft.
If MS were going to be split how do you think it should be split?

I think it should be split into two or three companies.

Option 1
One company for Operating Systems only
One company for everything else (software other than OSes, hardware, and online services)

Option 2
One company for Operating Systems only
One company for software other than OSes and hardware
One company for online services

I don't think hardware is a big enough section of MS to warrant a three or four company split instead.
