See a private company has a duty to it's share holders to turn a profit. If they are bleeding their customers dry the customers will go elsewhere. Governments OTOH can bleed you dry through Armed Robbery, which some people foolishly call taxes. Their only duty is to stay in power, which they can easily do with mis-direction and pablum.
