the theory that morons are promoted to management to keep them where they can do the least amount of harm has the downside that when they get there, they have the authority to make decision on when and what to do. And, being morons, they rarely listen to "underlings". :( Hire a consultant to tell management what you've already told them; they listen to them. It doesn't even matter if the consultant's "area of expertise" has nothing to do with the problem, as lon as they'll tell mgmt what you tell them to. ;-) (See Dogbert's Top Secret Management Handbook)
