      I'm running both WinXP and Linux with Ramdisk by Qcumber-some 2007-10-22 06:10:44
The WinXP runs with 512MB Ramdisk (drive B:), and the Linux boxes run /tmp, a temporary download folder ~/DL and /var/tmp/portage in tmpfs, which is something like a Ramdisk, but better (it doesn't block the RAM like in Windows if it's not needed).

Makes file operations, compiling and document extracting much faster.
