And where it isn't, you know before (like in a Win95/Win98 environment where more RAM makes it worse, or in a DOS environment where more RAM just doesn't change anything).
Almost any Linux improves with more RAM (up to a certain amount, I'd say somewhere between 2GB and 4GB for a decent Desktop system).
Vista (at least the bigger versions) is usable with 1GB, but they run much better with 2GB.
