So, I picked up a bottle of Buckley's. by hadji 2007-10-22 04:36:09
It tastes like a liquid version of Fisherman's Friend. So, here's the thing. It has the same active ingredient as Formula 44D, and with a lower dosage, though a slightly higher concentration.

Buckley's has 12.5mg of dextromethorphan HBr in a 5ml dose.

Formula 44D has 30mg of destromethorphan HBr in a 15ml dose.

If Formula 44D offers a higher degree of the same active ingredient in each dose, what makes Buckley's so special? Is the higher concentration a significant factor even despite the lower dose?
