This sounds like how I take attendance	by deeble	2007-10-09 15:34:50
with my swimming classes some days. me- "put your hand up if you're not here." class- "Huh?", with occasional smarties sticking their hands up for fun, which is where catch 22 gets them; me- "If I can see your hand you must be here, and if you don't put your hand up, that means you are here too." Not terribly consistent but enough to puzzle primary schoolers.
