Smaller scale, of course. It had a foot pedal to pump up the air pressure, and a nice long pipe for the dart to launch through.
In a class in zoo and exotic animal medicine, we got to make blow pipes for shooting darts into critters, but more interesting, we got to make the darts. The trick is that the needle has to go into the animal, and *then* the liquid in the syringe has to be injected. This involves creating a chamber filled with butane gas, but I'd have to find my notes to recreate it properly.
(Hee hee, and my mom scoffs at the way I save class notes for years after the class is over....) |
