This is really strange by nightmonger 2007-10-08 19:16:27
I was working with a generator that has an automatic voltage regulator unit attached. The generator was wired for 460 volts. While testing it with no load attached, the voltage started to climb. It reached 1200 volts before I shut it down. It has never happened before and I have no idea how it happened at all. Cold a voltage regulator actually raise the voltage like that? It was worrysome since it was powering an expensive panel with a plc inside of it.
