In this case, they're SATA drives. by RoraJoey 2007-10-08 16:23:57
I did plug in an IDE drive for backup purposes (and that one is now primary master), but it didn't seem to make a difference. I did the new install of WinXP x64 onto that IDE drive, and after a few reboots, it gave me the same problem (can't find NTLDR, even though I know it's there). I suppose it could be corrupted, but wouldn't it SAY the file was corrupted if that were the case?

So it works again (from the temporary drive) after my repair install. I've disconnected it from the network and installed Avast! so I can scan for viruses. It's finding some that my previous installation of Avast! had already moved to its chest.
